I am so grateful for all who helped make Hear This! A Festival of Radio Drama on Zoom happen. The project could not have come into being without the support and encouragement of Dr Gary Harfitt, Principal of Good Hope School, formerly Associate Dean of Learning and Teaching in the Faculty of Education, University of Hong Kong. I am particularly grateful to Principal Tracy Cheung, HKMA David Li Kwok Po College for kindly allowing students from the school to take part in the event and to Mrs Petunia Kingsley, Mr Carl Carabio and Ms Nalini Fernandes, teachers at HKMA David Li Kwok Po College for all their hard work, support and enthusiasm in respect to both iterations of the Hear This! project.
I would also like to thank the students from David Li Kwok Po College who took part in Hear This! in 2020 and 2021 and who showed so much creative ability – I applaud your talent and ability to make drama online! Of course, I cannot give enough thanks to the many wonderful undergraduate Student Drama Mentors from the University of Hong Kong who helped train the secondary school participants – your commitment and understanding that, ‘the show must go on(line)!’ is not just commendable, but really showed your determination to serve the Hong Kong community. Finally, I am so grateful for the work of Mr Daniel Bird, who has been a constant source of wise advice and support all through Hear This! and this Handbook truly reflects his depth of knowledge and experience of drama.
